April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born on July 4 in 1995. In the seventh grade she began to take piano and guitar lessons. This ignited her passion for songwriting. April Lockhart wrote her first single, Different at the age twelve years old. At 14, April spent much time writing lyrics and perfecting her music skills. Over the next few months, she began taking writing excursions along with her father to LA in addition to NY. April also began to include other related topics for some of her peers who are dealing in the area of bullying by peers and teen suicide in the song Take my Hand. Lockhart has become a sought-after lifestyle influencer as well as working in partnerships with clean beauty brands Ilia, has built a large following. As a woman born with no left hand, she is an important part of her. But it's not the entire tale. As a result Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't shy away from her disability, but it doesn't center around her disability either. The point? It is important to remember that everyone has multiple faces. Our identities are diverse and we are much greater than the bodies we wear. It's not my intention to let that determine me. I do not wish to become a disability influencer where that's all I discuss because there are so many other elements to me. Lockhart states in video form from her home in Nashville. It doesn't affect my daily life. All is well and I have learned to adjust. However, I also consider that it is a crucial aspect of me. Lockhart is a true source of inspiration for self-acceptance in general, is on a long process to attain this. Lockhart admits to having gone through phases where she felt insecure about the way she dressed and showed her arms. She dresses according to her preferences and posts photos of herself wearing the clothes she chooses on social media. Self-love, she says, is like a journey. "I don't think you'll be in that place," she said. This is a process, and I'm not sure you'll ever reach your destination. I think it is important to be around individuals who truly understand the person you are.
